Meet the Board of Trustees of EDAN Lincs

Our dedicated board members bring a wealth of experience, passion, and commitment to our mission of supporting those affected by domestic abuse. Each trustee plays a crucial role in guiding our charity towards achieving its goals and ensuring we provide the best possible services to our community.

Lydia Patsalides - Chair

My Professional Life
After earning a Criminology and Law degree, I began my career in Child Protection and Safeguarding in London. Upon returning to Lincoln to be closer to family, I joined Crimestoppers, where I've spent the last 8 years specialising in project management, campaign delivery, and leading initiatives against violence towards women and girls.
My role is diverse, allowing me to collaborate with various organisations, including the Police and Crime Commissioner, police forces, local authorities, businesses, charities, and sports clubs.

My Interest in EDAN
I am honoured to support those who work tirelessly to help individuals and families escape dangerous situations, navigate the legal process, find new homes, and begin healing. I also raise awareness of domestic abuse and help create Domestic Abuse champions across the county.

Richard Brown – Vice Chair

My Professional Life
After leaving university with a degree in Electronic and Electrical engineering, I joined Border Television as a broadcast engineer. I worked on various productions and events including being in charge of the first TV response to the Lockerbie disaster. I then moved into computer software development and the management of large international teams of developers. I tried to retire in 2013 after completing an MBA but bought a rundown pub/restaurant instead. I ran this for 10 years and became an active LIVES responder. I very much enjoyed my time with LIVES and completed nearly 200 jobs. My youngest patient was 4 days old and my eldest patient 101 years old.
I am active in my local community and have been chair of Woodhall Spa Parish Council for the last 4 years.

My Interest in EDAN
I have been with EDAN for 3 years as a trustee/member of the board of directors. I have training in Mental health first aid, Adult and Child Safeguarding including Safeguarding Lead training. I also have basic training as a Child and Young Person Counselor and mentor. I am currently Vice Chair of EDAN Lincs and Chair of EDAN's Audit, Finance and Risk Committee.

Terry Buzec – Trustee

My Professional Life
I’ve worked in social housing for over 20 years, starting my career in Lettings and Allocations, before moving to a London-based Housing Association as a Housing Officer. I now work for a Lincolnshire Local Authority, as Housing Services Manager, where I am responsible for the services covering the Tenancy, Estate and Income Management of Council-owned homes; as well as Homelessness, and the Council’s Housing Register. I also serve as the District’s Safeguarding Lead.

My Interest in EDAN
Throughout my career, I’ve seen the profound and lasting impact that domestic abuse can have on individuals and families. This has driven my passion for supporting organisations like EDAN Lincs, whose work is vital in helping people find safety, stability, and hope. I’m proud to be part of a charity that plays such a crucial role in protecting and empowering survivors across Lincolnshire.

Leanne Leverton – Trustee

My Professional Life
My career in health and social care spans more than 36 years. I began as a care assistant in a nursing home, before moving into children’s services and qualifying as a children’s nurse in 2001. My career then took me into community nursing practice, where I trained as a health visitor and later worked as a practice educator. I am now a Senior Lecturer in Health and Social Care at Lincoln Bishop University, where I teach across the lifespan and bring together my professional journey, lived experience, and passion for inclusive, person‑centred care.

My Interest in EDAN
Working across clinical and community settings has given me a deep insight into the complexities of family life and the support families need to feel safe, heard, and able to thrive. Being involved in supporting families experiencing domestic abuse has been one of the most meaningful and rewarding aspects of my career. Working with EDAN Lincs is a genuine privilege, and I am proud to be part of a unique, empowering service that supports families to rebuild, recover, and move forward.
